Red Line worked with some of the world's best on this project equipped with an Art Morrison Max-G chassis and 1589 hp under the hood. Dominator Street Rods oversaw construction of this streetable monster that has took home its class awards at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show. Longtime Red Line drag racer Mike Moran teamed with Big Stuff 3 EFI guru John Meaney to create a Precision Turbo/Dart Machine 540ci combination that reliably cruises the street as well as it stomps with record acceleration. Complete with traction control and a 4L85E automatic trans built by Michigan expert Gordon Stoney, the Red Line '57 is a "sleeper" in custom hues from DuPont.The vehicle is a rolling testbed of Red Line products, with a custom dry sump oiling system for the street created in cooperation with Moroso pump and pan combined with a Peterson tank. The system's giant capacity keeps Red Line 10W40 motor oil running cool. Red Line worked with Classic Instruments to log temperatures all over the '57, including differential, transmission, oil, and water temp in custom gauges. Clever integration of the radiator, intercoolers, and Spal fans help WaterWetter manage temperatures. This vehicle runs on both gasoline or E-85 methanol. While mind-blowing acceleration and a classic stance that pays tribute to hot rods past and present is a symbol of Red Line's technical heritage, the incredible fuel efficiency and drive-ability stands out as goal of hot rod builders and fans of the classic Tri-5 lines.
