Dominator Street Rods worked with some of the industry's best craftsman to take Thom Taylor's drawing into reality. DuPont's Hot Hues division liked the color so much that they made it available to the public as "Red Line Red."While most street rods of this level usually don't perform up to their visual expectation, this hand-built car has the suspension geometry and custom-valved dampers of a race car with tuning that puts ride quality and stance a the top of its priority list. Wilwood 6-piston brakes and Colorado Custom wheels on Michelin Pilot Sport tires back that up. A Vortech-supercharged 5.4L DOHC Ford Cobra engine takes packaging to an all-new level, carefully incorporating a custom K&N airbox system and pulley arrangement. Red Line's 5W50 motor oil follows Ford's viscosity requirements. Since this is the rare street rod with a Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox, our D4 ATF is the required fluid due to tight clearances. In the quick change rear differential, Red Line's 75W90 GL-5 gets the job.
