On Friday August 26th the Red Line Oil sponsored A&A #92 headed to Chico, CA for the final 410 points race of the Silver Dollar Speedway season. Andy was 5th quick, won his heat race and would start 5th in the A main event. After qualifying and the heat race Andy would need to make up 5 points on point leader Tyler Wolf to win the Track Championship. At the start of the race Andy would get into the 2nd spot and begin chasing down Jon Alllard the leader with 3 laps to go a lapped car hit the wall in front of Allard and Andy, Allard ran over some debris from the crash and during the yellow his right rear began to go flat, Allard attempted to restart the race but couldn't hold off Andy as he would go into the lead for the last 2 laps of the race to win his 13th race of the 2011 season, but unfortunately he did not gain enough points to win the championship at Chico. It was a little disappointing to lose the championship by only 2 points, but considering the A&A #92 missed a night of racing so Andy could compete in a Civil War race that was scheduled against a Friday night points show, a series that Andy currently holds the point lead in. The team was just happy to be in the hunt at all as they worked hard to make up a whole night of points to fall just shy.
On Saturday August 27th Andy and the F&F X1 headed to Placerville CA for a 360 points show. Andy was 3rd quick, 3rd in his heat race and would start 6th in the A main event. Andy would finish the race in the 3rd spot and earn enough points to clinch his 3rd Placerville Track Championship with 1 race still remaining, this is Andy's 10th career driving championship.
