Red Line-equipped Drivers Richie Crampton and Sean Bellemeur both take home a Wally in Florida.
Top Fuel Dragster pilot Richie Crampton and Alcohol Funny Car driver Sean Bellemeur set the drag strip on fire at the NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida last weekend. In what marks his first win with Kalitta Motorsports, Crampton qualified in 10th position and worked his way through the field to win his eighth career Wally trophy with a 3.854 ET at 314.9 mph.
"This is probably one of my most rewarding wins, ever," Crampton said. "All I ever wanted to do was stand in the winner’s circle with (team owner) Connie Kalitta. Not a lot of people have had that luxury and I’m not taking this one lightly."
Top Alcohol Funny Car ace Sean Bellemeur and his Red Line-equipped Hussey Performance Camaro were on fire all weekend. Bellemeur made the quickest pass of the day with a 5.460 ET at 268.28 mph to take the win and the Wally. This victory marks his first-ever Gatornationals win and his second week in a row on the top step of the podium.
The next NHRA race weekend will be the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. We wish all of our Red Line-equipped drivers the best of luck!
