Reno, Nev. (July 15, 2010) - Air Racer: Chasing The Dream is a film that tells the story of husband and wife team Jon and Patricia Sharp, who risk everything to create the most advanced race plane ever made: the Nemesis NXT.  Their struggle is documented in every detail over a four-year period, through the construction and first flight of their prototype and three grueling race seasons that put them both and the NXT to the test.  The documentary puts viewers in the cockpit as pilots battle in an all-out competition at the Reno National Championship Air Races. 

At speeds reaching over 400mph, flying as low as 50 feet off the ground, there is no chance to use a parachute when accidents happen.  The Sharps’ plane is being called the future of air racing…but is it?  To tell this story, Christopher Webb Films shot over 400 hours of material from 2002-2006.  With unprecedented access, cameras were placed on the race course, in the cockpits and pit areas during three seasons at the famed Reno National Championship Air Races. Red Line Oil has supported both the Nemesis NXT team and the producers of this independent documentary film project.
