Established in 1994 at Infineon Raceway, Cameron Karting's recent acquistion of Marin Karting make it a powerhouse in the California karting scene. Owner Steve Cameron has a long history in both kart racing and car racing as a driver, driver coach and team owner of the famed Lynx Racing Formula Atlantic team. His accomplishments include multiple Daytona 24hr race wins, Atlantic Championships and other professional race series.
Co-owner Brett Buckwalter is an accomplished kart champion and has won multiple regional and national races including a IKF national championship. He is a SKUSA SuperNationals winner, two time STARS of Karting winner in ICC and TaG, and recently the 2009 Tag Pro champion in the ProKart Challenge North series. As an engine builder and chassis tuner, Brett has numerous professional and National kart titles to his name. Marin Karting's Kris Shaw brings the shop's experience to a whole new level, especially in the popular Rotax categories.
As the official promoter of the 2010 Red Line Oil Karting Championship series at Infineon Raceway's Jim Russell International Karting Center, the Cameron team is heavily involved with Rotax, 80 Shifter and IAME Parilla classes in the series.
Cameron Karting uses Red Line's two-stroke racing products, Shockproof gear oils, and also relies on WaterWetter for cooling needs.
